The first flavor is the one that is the easiest to do if you are already a YouTube content creator. All you need to do is take one of your existing playlists and label it as a podcast. Pretty much your work is done but the extra step that you need to take is to create a square image that will serve as your podcast cover art inside of YouTube music. And in case you aren't aware YouTube music is a separate app and all of your podcasts will be available on this app.
The downside of this flavor of YouTube podcasts is that it is only available on YouTube and YouTube music it will not be available on Apple podcasts, Spotify or any of the other popular podcast listening apps
The second flavor of YouTube podcasts works best for those of you who already have an audio podcast hosted on providers like Libysn, Blubrry, Spotify for podcasters, Captivate and others. You already have an RSS feed from your podcast host and all you need to do is get the link for your feed and add it to YouTube as a New Podcast by using the Create button. YouTube will scan your feed to make sure it complies with their terms of service and grab your existing cover art. Once the scan is complete you will need to Publish the feed. No need to worry -- your subscribers will not get any notifications from YouTube -- but they will get notified when you upload new episodes.
The downside of this flavor of YouTube podcasts and that any programmatic ads will be removed and people will not hear those ads on YouTube or YouTube music.

The third and final flavor of YouTube podcasts is simply to start a new show. No need to use an existing playlist you can start from scratch by uploading or live streaming video content to YouTube.
The downside -- unless you take additional steps by getting a traditional podcast host, these videos will not be available on popular podcast players like the ones I mentioned earlier; Apple podcasts, Spotify, Overcasts, Fountain, and many more. YouTube’s RSS feed can not be used for those players.
